You might be asked for permission to share your location.The little box asking for this permission might not be very obvious, but it's around somewhere.. Checking can take a few seconds....
The geolocator works best on modern smart phones. But it will also work on modern browsers (in theory) providing they are whats called standards compliant. The list is too long to show but theres a test here . It's always a good idea to use the latest browser - if nothing else they are more secure.
